M. Rosales is the author of Crossing the Cherry Blossom Sea: An Adoptee's Memoir.

M. Rosales was adopted at age five from South Korea to an American family. Nearly thirty year later, driven by the desire to uncover her roots, Rosales began the emotional search for her birth parents. Rosales felt compelled to write her memoir due to her passionate belief in the healing power of storytelling, and to shed light on the challenges experienced by adoptees. It is her sincere hope that by sharing her story, readers will find comfort, hope, and inspiration. Additionally, she writes a blog where she shares insights into the adoptee journey.

Rosales graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design & Minor in Art History. She currently resides in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and son, and is a doggy mama to an Aussiedoodle. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing, or simply cherishing moments with family and friends.
